Post Re: Really useful tool (non WoW) for bibliophiles
Now this is a great section.... I LOVE BOOKS and cuz my mom started working at a Library a few (11?) years ago i must have read like 2-3000 titles before i got the idea ( and i know it's not nice, but i can't realy afford to buy one book even every 2 months) to dowload digital format books and read them on my notebook. Since then i can't really count the actual number of titles i-ve read, but it's A LOT, tanking in consideration that i burn through a 3-400 pages book in 3-4 days if it's a really good one. I realy started enjoying the long series (6-12 books) and atm i'm trying to finish Weel of Time, by Robert Jordan. Some time ago i read the entire series of Vardemar by Mercedes Lackey and i loved them (i'm in a fantasy mood lately), but i like sci-fi too and good thrillers and cop stories.
OH, BTW FRANK HERBERT RULZZZ!!!!! neck and neck with Isaac Asimov for me :D

You tried the Steven King Dark Towers seris?

He finally finished them about 2 years ago after starting the first one at the start of his career. Its Fantasy based and about 8 books long i think. It can be slow at times but it has a finish that will make you want to kill the bugger :D Ask anyone who has read them but don't let them tell you the finish.

Been plowing through Charlaine Harris's "Sookie Stackhouse" series of late (the basis for HBO's series True Blood). Great fun, generally quick reads (1/day).

Have been playing around with iPhone apps for "media library management," and found one that manages all our media (books, movies, music), *and* has the ability to scan a barcode using the built-in camera. MyLibrary, it's a bit limited for what I'd like, but at least when I'm standing there in the store (or browsing on the Web) and I see something I think I might like, I can tell whether I already have it somewhere. (I spend a lot of summer time in used bookstores.)

Anyway... will have to give Wheel of Time a shot, I've liked some of Jordan's other stuff. And no no no bad DOG! Asimov >>>> Frank Herbert. Always :)
